As a business, Woodbank Office Solutions understand that we have an obligation to play a proactive part in recognition of the urgent need to address increasingly serious environmental problems, such as climate change, resource depletion, and plastic pollution and wastage. As a business, we take our responsibility very seriously, and over in 2022 reviewed out structure, the way we operate as a business and how we support out clients in reducing the impact on the world around us.
We are continually looking to see how we can improve what we do to achieve those aims. Here are a few examples.
Partnering with Businesses that Share our Environmental Values
We partner with businesses that have strong environmental values and focus.
SHARP Eco Vision 2050, has a long-term environmental vision based on its Basic Environmental Policy of “Creating an Environmentally Conscious Company with Sincerity and Creativity,” which was established in 1992. As a business they working toward realizing a sustainable global environment by pursuing long-term goals set in three fields of action with 2050 as the target year: climate change, resource recycling, and safety and security. Konica Minolta have the same strong vision. In 2008, the Board of Directors approved their own Eco Vision 2050. In 2009, their long term environmental vision set the challenging goal of reducing CO2 emissions from products throughout their entire lifecycle by 80% by 2050. Reducing Our Carbon Footprint
In 2022, we conducted a thorough review of our structure and operational carbon footprint. Our goal was to make significant strides in reducing our environmental impact. Here are some actions we have implemented:

- We organize regional territories to ensure Account Managers serve clients in their respective areas, thereby minimizing travel time and reducing vehicle use.
- We encourage our Account Managers to minimize face-to-face meetings whenever possible by leveraging digital technology for interactions with clients.
- We embrace flexible working arrangements, with over 70% of our employees working from home for at least 1 to 4 days a week.
- We plan installations strategically to maximize efficiency and minimize our carbon footprint.
- We order machines, technology, and equipment in bulk, reducing the number of deliveries and associated emissions.

As part of our environmental strategy, we are always looking to provide our customers with managed print solutions that support their business and their goals to do more for the environment, such as; providing integrated technology to improve efficiency and significantly reduce paper usage and waste.
